Pipeline Construction
Right of way preparation, trenching, pipe installation, tie-ins, backfill and reclamation for buried pipeline and linear infrastructure projects in British Columbia and Alberta. Pipeline construction is a growing part of RAM Excavating business, built on the same crews, equipment and disciplines we use every day on deep municipal and industrial pipe work.
The same work, at a different scale
Buried pipe is buried pipe. Grade and alignment control, trench stability, bedding and haunching, jointing quality, hydrostatic testing and proper backfill are the things that decide whether a line performs, and our crews do them on deep trunk mains and industrial systems continuously. We fuse HDPE on site with our own equipment and install PVC, ductile iron, concrete and steel pipe to engineered specification.
Right of way, ground conditions and reclamation
Linear projects live and die on ground conditions and access. Clearing and grade preparation, matting and access road construction across muskeg and soft ground, trench dewatering, rock excavation, watercourse and road crossings, and full reclamation of the right of way afterwards are all core RAM earthworks capability, developed on remote mine, forestry and highway work across western Canada since 1986.

- On site HDPE fusion and mechanical and welded tie-ins

- Right of way reclamation, reseeding and site restoration
Prequalification and safety
We hold a COR standard safety program, carry a zero total recordable incident rate and no liability claims in the last five years, and maintain WorkSafeBC clearance in good standing. Site specific safety plans, orientations, daily hazard assessments and subcontractor safety evaluation are standard on every project, which is what pipeline owners and prime contractors screen for before anything else.
