In heavy civil work, an owner’s most significant risk revolves around the contractor’s safety performance. Here are the key points of our construction safety system, clearly outlined:

- Our safety program is designed to meet COR standards, incorporating thorough hazard assessments and formal internal auditing.
Our Safety System
Our construction safety system addresses the key elements buyers look for, including site-specific safety plans and orientations for every project, daily hazard assessments, traffic management planning, subcontractor safety evaluations, and compliance agreements, as well as incident reporting and investigation procedures. We also ensure emergency preparedness plans are in place for every site, including those in remote locations.
Since 1986, we have operated within the safety and environmental management systems of mine operators, forest-products facilities, and public owners, all while maintaining our commitment to safety performance on live sites around active production without incident. We believe that nothing we build is worth more than a person’s well-being, which has been our guiding principle.

Shoring and Safe Access

Fall protection measures are in place at the edge, with life rings and PFDs staged within arm’s reach, and a spotter posted to enhance safety performance. Comprehensive hazard assessments are conducted beforehand to ensure that the necessary controls are implemented before the machine operates.

Traffic Control in Live Streets
Municipal work takes place in occupied neighbourhoods, where a construction safety system is implemented to protect both the crew and the residents. Fencing, barricades, and cones create a separation between the public and the excavation site, ensuring that hazard assessments are continuously conducted within this protected zone. Residents maintain access to their street while we focus on ensuring safety performance for our team.

Remote Sites, Same Standard
