Paving and Asphalt Restoration
When the underground work is finished, the surface still has to go back the way the owner expects. RAM Excavating carries paving and asphalt restoration as normal scope on watermain, sewer, road and site-servicing contracts across British Columbia and Alberta. We prepare and control the base ourselves, then manage the asphalt trades that follow, so the owner deals with one contractor from first cut to final lift.
Restoration is part of the contract, not an afterthought
Most of the paving we deliver is restoration work tied to civil scopes we are already performing: utility trench patches, lane and full-width road reconstruction, mill and overlay, driveway and approach reinstatement, and curb, gutter and sidewalk tie-ins. Municipalities, ministries and general contractors regularly hand us that portion of a contract because the surface is only as good as the work underneath it.
Self-performed base, managed asphalt placement
We self-perform the excavation, subgrade preparation, granular base placement, compaction and grade control, and we hold the paving subcontract for placement. That split is deliberate. Restoration failures start in the base and the compaction, and that is the part we control directly with our own crews, equipment and testing. We coordinate the asphalt schedule, traffic control, inspection and quality documentation so the owner has a single point of responsibility for the finished surface.

Where we do this work
Quesnel, Williams Lake, Prince George, 100 Mile House and the wider Cariboo, through northern British Columbia to Fort St. John, and into Alberta from our Grande Cache office. We mobilise to remote mine, forestry and industrial sites as readily as to municipal streets.
